Wedding Recap: The Rehearsal

We were very fortunate that we were able to get to Kalamazoo early and set up on Friday afternoon.  This was critical.  I can’t even imagine what it would have been like if we would have had to set everything up the morning of the wedding.  I understand that there are a lot of brides who hire out to get all of this stuff done, but I wanted to be as cost effective as possible and I did most of this in the upstairs of our house!

Therefore, we had an entire army come and help us decorate.  I can’t even begin to explain how thankful I am.

I had boxes upon boxes of stuff.  All labeled… I feel as though I was very organized, and it made the set up process that much smoother.

We met up at 2pm on the Friday before the wedding and were able to get everything put in it’s place! Amazing!!

From there, we had about 15 minutes to return to the hotel and freshen up for the actual rehearsal.

Since the very beginning of time, Mike has been telling me that he was going to wear his Walter Payton jersey to the rehearsal because it was a “walk through”. All of you married brides out there can attest to the fact that it’s the stress the few months days before the wedding that really tests a couple…. and this was one of those “things”. We didn’t see eye to eye on it, but this is what Mike and his posse were wearing when they came rolling into the reception….

At this point, you can't do anything but smile and laugh :) They looked awesome.

The rest of the rehearsal went swimmingly. 🙂

Following the rehearsal, we headed to Mangia Mangia for our rehearsal dinner.  The food was great, the company was even better!

My end of the night picture….. just so ready to get this show on the road 🙂

The bridal party on the other hand…kept at it.
